The goal was to build an app that will capitalize on blockchain's low fees, on and off ramps, and smart contract, while establishing a pioneering social payment network that links crypto users and merchants via geolocation.
We carried out initial research by interviewing people, which helped us collect the essential information needed to build empathy maps and get a better understanding of the users. Investigated forums, Reddit, Telegram groups. Additionally, we conducted secondary UX research by reviewing existing case studies on similar topics. Guerrilla usability testing has been conducted with visitors and cafe owners of a few local cafes to test whether the design is intuitive or not.
Throughout this process, we made sure to consider all the needs and issues that users might face.
The research highlighted two main groups of users. The first group consists of university students who like to use innovative technologies. They're looking for ways to use new technology and follow modern trends. The second group includes small business owners who are looking for an innovative approaches to integrate into their business thus saving customer acquisition costs and attracting a new customer base by standing out.
